“Paul is inspiring and importantly, he delivers. Following his lead will unfold results”
— Eddie Jordan (Serial Entrepreneur & Founder Jordan Grand Prix)
I work with founders and leadership teams in £5M+ businesses when growth stalls, teams lose alignment, and execution starts to feel heavier than it should. I help solve the people and execution problems underneath the noise — so the business can move forward again.

Ways I Work With Founders
There isn’t one fixed way, It starts with a conversation and then we choose the simplest, most effective way forward.
Keynotes At Your Events / Meetings
Sometimes the right starting point is from the stage.
In these moments, a keynote isn’t about motivation — it’s about:
Saying what everyone feels.
Creating a shared vision.
Unlocking honest conversations.
Keynotes often act as a catalyst for deeper alignment and change — not the end point.
Leadership Team Reset & Alignment
When the leadership team is capable, but alignment and execution are off.
I work with teams to:
Surface what isn’t being said
Clarify roles, standards, & ownership
Reset decisions and follow up
The aim isn’t harmony - It’s clarity, trust, and forward motion.
Founder & Leadership Advisory
For founders who want a trusted external perspective.
This is confidential, focused work where I help you:
Think clearly about the core issue
Make decisions with less noise
Address people & execution issues before they harden
Sometimes this is short and sharp and sometimes it runs alongside a period of change.
How I Help When It Matters
Most founders don’t reach out when things are calm. They reach out when something important isn’t working — and they can feel it. This is where I help.
-
When pressure builds, everything can start to feel urgent, tangled, and noisy.
I help slow the situation down enough to see what actually matters — separating signal from noise, clarifying priorities, and creating space for better decisions.
Calm isn’t passive. It’s what allows leaders to act clearly when others are reacting.
-
Misalignment rarely announces itself.
It shows up as hesitation, mixed messages, and inconsistent follow-through.I work with leadership teams to surface what isn’t being said, reset expectations, and re-establish trust — so people know what matters, who owns what, and how decisions get made.
Alignment isn’t about harmony - It’s about momentum.
-
When execution slips, most teams look for better plans.
The real blockers are usually deeper — unclear ownership, avoided conversations, or leadership drift.
I help identify what’s actually getting in the way across people, sales, marketing, and operations — and deal with it directly, so progress can resume.
-
This work isn’t about frameworks, slides, or long reports.
It’s about restoring forward motion:
Clearer decisions
Stronger leadership behaviour
Faster execution
Less weight on the founder
Because when momentum returns, confidence follows — and growth becomes possible again.
A short, confidential conversation — not a pitch.
WHO I WORK WITH
This work isn’t for everyone — and it’s not meant to be.
I work with founders and leadership teams who are still actively running their business and carrying the responsibility and pressure that comes with it.
This is usually right for you if:
Your business is £5M+ and growing, but feels heavier than it should
You’re a hands-on founder who still cares deeply about standards and people
The team is capable, but alignment and execution aren’t consistent
Decisions feel slower or more draining than they used to
You sense that something important is off — even if you can’t yet name it
You value calm, honest thinking over hype or theory
You don’t need motivation.
You need clarity, alignment, and momentum.
Who this is not for
This is not for you if:
you’re looking for surface-level inspiration
you want someone to tell you what you want to hear
you’re not willing to address people issues at the root
you want complex models, long reports, or endless process
This work is practical, honest, and focused on movement.
SIGNALS IT’S TIME TO CALL ME
Most founders wait longer than they should.
Not because they don’t care — but because they’re used to carrying things themselves.
If any of these feel familiar, it’s usually time to talk.
You’re thinking more than you’re acting
The team is busy, but progress feels slow
You’re carrying more context than is sustainable
Small issues are taking up too much energy
Growth has changed the business, but the leadership rhythm hasn’t caught up
You want calm thinking — not more noise
Founders usually reach out at an inflection point, not a crisis.
That’s when this work is most effective.
About Paul
-
I learned leadership long before boardrooms.
I started at sea — leading small crews in environments where pressure was real, decisions mattered, and calm wasn’t optional.
Later, I brought that same thinking ashore — including leading the commercial turnaround of Oyster Yachts, rebuilding trust and growing the forward order book to over £185M.
Today, I work with founders and leadership teams navigating growth, pressure, and complexity.
Different environments.
Same leadership dynamics. -
The reasons why founders trust me to be their support with their business are:
I’ve led under real pressure
I don’t intellectualise problems — I help solve them
I work across people, execution, and momentum
I bring calm thinking when it’s most needed
I’m also married for 17 years to a dentist and a partner in a growing UK dental group, so I understand what it means to have skin in the game — not just opinions.
-
Clear thinking for leaders under pressure.
Short reflections, practical insights, and real-world leadership lessons drawn from business, ownership, and life under pressure.
(No fluff. No theory for theory’s sake.)
-
Running a business doesn’t usually break down in obvious ways. It wears you down quietly.
You carry the context.
You hold the standards.
You make the calls — often with incomplete information. If the weight feels heavier than it used to, it doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.
It usually means the business has reached a point where leading alone no longer makes sense. The right support at the right moment isn’t a weakness.
It’s leadership.You don’t need fixing.
The business doesn’t need drama.Sometimes it just needs calm thinking, honest conversation, and a clear way forward.
That’s the work I do.
-
I also work with owner-led dental practices through Lighthouse Training, applying the same leadership and execution principles in a highly practical, sector-specific way.
A short, confidential conversation to bring clarity and next steps.
