The Power of Old School Business

“I never cut any successful deals sitting behind my desk playing CEO Paul!”

Eddie looked at me with those wise eyes and I found my head nodding as I just, “got” what he was saying in that moment.

I started thinking about the power of, “Old School Business”

So many people today hide behind email. They very rarely put the effort in to build a real, meaningful relationship with a fellow human being.

Why would they, it’s so easy to send a quick email right?

Consider this though…

For you and your business to stand out from the crowd you must do something different.

You need to cut your niche so people pay attention to you and realize the value you're bringing to the table.

The easiest way to achieve this is do something different so you differentiate yourself in the market.

The lesson Eddie taught me in that moment is simply this…

If you want to consistently win business, absolutely nothing beats face to face.

You shake their hand, look them straight in the eye and start to build a meaningful relationship.

We all do business with people we, Know, Like & Trust and the fastest way to build this is, “Old School Business”

Yes, that’s right, I’m saying get out of the office and go for Coffee’s, Lunches and Dinners with your key clients.

Now, you might be thinking, “Okay Paul, that make’s sense, but, in my business I don’t have time to meet everyone and …….” I hear you and Yes I’m sure that’s true…

However, be strategic, only meet the people you really want to serve and build a meaningful relationship with.

Remember the Pareto Principle? 80% of your business comes from just 20% of your clients

So guess who you get out in front of?

That’s right the 20%!

What about the other 80% though I hear you ask? You can email them all you like!!!

Imagine what your business would be like if you just dealt with the 20% and consistently landed the deals of your dreams?

Now that’s the Power of Old School Business!

To Your Ultimate Success,

Paul Adamson :)
